Keynote Speaker
Dr. Stanley Lefkowitz, CST '65

Stanley Lefkowitz is executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Falconwood Group. Tracing its roots back to the 1670s, the company is involved in asset management for high net worth individuals and in the management of a biotech company that specializes in research on drugs used to treat central nervous system disorders.

Dr. Lefkowitz attended Temple University on a National Merit Scholarship. As a chemistry major, he was a member of the Chemistry Society, National Mathematics Honor Society and National Physics Honor Society. Following graduation, he went on to earn a PhD in chemistry from Princeton University, focusing on nuclear chemistry and solid-state physics. 

After graduation from Princeton, Dr. Lefkowitz worked for the City University of New York initially serving as staff director of the Citizen's Commission on the Future of Higher Education in New York City. He taught chemistry at Hunter College and Queens College, where he also served as assistant director of instructional development. He has served on the Advisory Council to the Dean of the Graduate School at Princeton University and is a current a trustee of the New York Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Lefkowitz is currently a member, and former chair, of the College of Science and Technology Board of Visitors and is a member of the Temple University Leadership Council. He previously served on the College of Liberal Arts Board of Visitors. He and his wife Debbie are strong supporters of the university. Among many other gifts, they have established the Debra and Stanley Lefkowitz Undergraduate Research Fund and the Stanley and Debra Lefkowitz Graduate Research Fund in the College of Science and Technology. They are also members of the Owl Club and frequently travel across the country in support of Temple's student athletes.
 

Student Speaker
Nadia Said, CST '19  

Nadia Said is graduating with a bachelor's of science in information science and technology. While at CST, she was a member of the Temple University chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery-Women in Computing and worked with the Girls Exploring Tomorrow's Technology association, which helps girls and young women in grades 5 through 10 explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers. She was also a participant in the PECO Scholars Program.

As a student, she worked as a data management specialist for Temple's Office of the Vice President for Research, completing a comparative data analysis of the university's National Science Foundation ranking. Since May 2018 she has worked for SAP America, a leading enterprise software company, through their Student Training & Rotation Program (STAR), a paid, multi-year training program designed to help students jumpstart their career and dive into real-world project work. 

Working out of SAP offices in Newtown Square, Pa. and Berlin, Germany, Said performed data analysis of regional sales incentives, provided support to senior consultants by writing detailed analytical scripts, helped build applications and analytical scripts for clients such as Intel and Levis, and created an augmented reality demo that was presented to SAP's human resources and facilities management departments. As she continues with the SAP STAR program until spring 2020, Said will explore different employment opportunities. Her ultimate career goal is to be a chief technology officer, making foundational technological impacts to an organization. 
 

Alumni Speaker
Jennifer Gresh. CST '98 

Jennifer Gresh is Philadelphia Division Director at Duffield Associates, a leading environmental, engineering, natural resources, and transportation consulting and services firm. After earning her Temple undergraduate degree in geology, she earned a master's in geology from the University of Delaware.

Ms. Gresh also served in the United States Air Force, earning the "Airman of the Year" award by the 32nd Tactical Fighter Group Clinic. Committed to mentoring in her professional life and as a Temple alumnus, Ms. Gresh is also a leader in the college's Owl to Owl Mentor Program, which connects our students to successful graduates.

And there is one thing you should know about Ms. Gresh, a geology major: She never met a rock she didn't like!
