Promoting science education in the community.
The College of Science and Technology’s STEM Ed Network brings science education to young learners, inspiring them to study science at the college level. STEM Ed Network initiatives also prepare high-school and college-age students for successful STEM careers.
The network offers several immersive summer camp experiences for K-8 students that expose young minds to scientific theories and experimentation. At the high-school level, there are camp, leadership and learning experiences for students interested in coding, science, technology, engineering, mathematics and robotics.
The network also works to increase the enrollment, retention and graduation rates of underrepresented minority students in STEM fields and to offer them advanced research opportunities. Additionally, STEM Ed Network provides exclusive resources for teachers to ensure that educators are equipped with the best material to aid students in their journey towards a STEM career.
