Graduate Program Requirements

We use a holistic review process that considers all aspects of an applicant's file. Generally, a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is recommended, but applications with lower GPAs may still be considered.
Submit unofficial transcripts, including transfer credits, from all post-secondary institutions you attended. Official transcripts will be required when you accept an offer.

Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
International students should submit and complete their applications by the first week of November (Spring) or June 1 (Fall) to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
Priority deadlines vary by program. Applications submitted after deadlines will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Check individual deadlines in the graduate bulletin.
Tuition and Fees

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities
Teaching & Research Assistantships:
- All full-time applicants are automatically considered for assistantships. These awards offer a stipend, tuition remission, and health insurance in exchange for research or teaching duties.
Universitywide Fellowships:
- Temple University also offers fellowships for outstanding doctoral candidates. (more info graduate school link) Departments submit nominations; self-nomination is not permitted. Fellowships include a stipend, tuition remission, and health insurance.
Merit-Based Scholarships:
- A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available for competitive master’s applicants. No separate application is required; students are automatically considered during the admission process for fall terms.
