Apply for graduation

Undergraduate students

Apply for graduation using Self Service Banner on TUportal. Pay close attention to the way your major(s) and minor(s) are listed on your application, and contact the Student Services Office if you spot any inaccuracies or have any questions. Please note certificate programs require a separate application.

Note

  • At the beginning of each semester CST sends an email to current students who are close to graduating. However it is the responsibility of the student to apply for graduation through SSB.
  • Even if you applied for graduation in the past, but did not graduate, you must contact your academic advisor to update your anticipated graduation date so that you can apply for graduation again in the semester you plan to graduate.
  • The University Commencement ceremony is held in May only. Information will be emailed to students who apply for May graduation, as well as students who graduated the previous August and January. What's the difference between CST graduation and commencement? At the CST commencement you will walk across the stage and pose for a photo with your diploma envelope. At the University Commencement, all of the schools and colleges come together for a ceremony, but no one walks across the stage.
  • Students will not receive their degree, diploma or transcript until all University tuition and fees have been paid.

Graduate students
The graduation application is available using Self Service Banner (SSB). To access the application, go to TUportal and select Self Service Banner (SSB). When in SSB, select Student » Student Records » Apply to Graduate.
