The Mathematics Department is pleased to announce that it has been selected to participate in Project EMBER’s Moving to Action initiative.  

Project EMBER (Eliminating Mathematics Barriers through Evidence-based Reforms) is a national collaborative effort led by Transforming Post-Secondary Education in Mathematics (TPSE Math), Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), and Association for Undergraduate Education at Research Universities (UERU) to support departments in improving student success through data-informed, evidence-based practices.

Temple was one of only eight institutions were selected to participate in the highly competitive 15-month Moving to Action pilot program. As part of the initiative, the department will work with units across campus to develop evidence-based reforms aimed at improving student success and equity in mathematics education.
