Interests

Our group is focused on developing new synthetic methodologies to tackle challenges in organic synthesis and in biological systems. Our main efforts will be to develop novel biocatalysts and transition metal catalysts for applications in the pharmaceutical industry, petroleum industry, and to other fine chemicals such as fragrances, agrochemicals, and small molecule synthesis.

We aim to take advantage of the unique reactivity of these catalysts in order to address challenges in chemical synthesis. We work at the interface of biological, inorganic, and organic chemistry to design and understand how our catalysts work.
