Maria brings with her a strong background in academia, the ability to collaborate and foster new initiatives to enhance the department’s standing and a commitment to create an environment that respects and values all individuals. She is also dedicated to mentoring faculty and staff, supporting their professional development and fostering an environment conducive to growth and success. I am confident that she will bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas and exceptional leadership to guide the department toward continued success.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce Associate Professor Martha Constantinou as the new vice-chair. Martha has demonstrated a strong commitment to the department, a distinguished record of teaching, research and scholarly achievements, and the ability to lead, inspire and foster collaboration among faculty, staff and students.
