To Faculty, Staff and the CST Community:

All of us have been shaken by the death of George Floyd in Minnesota and by other similar incidents across the country impacting people of color, particularly those who are African American.

Like all of Temple University, the College of Science and Technology joins with those working toward racial inclusion and equity. As President Englert and Provost Epps said in their most recent message, “Temple was built on the idea that the world is filled with diamonds and these diamonds can be found anywhere and everywhere regardless of race, ethnicity or socio-economic background.”

Temple’s Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) is leading this important conversation through training and programming. IDEAL regularly shares recommendations of books, articles and other valuable resources. Follow @templediversity for the most up-to-date recommendations and information about events. For employees, if you believe you have been the victim of racial discrimination or harassment, please contact the university's EOC office. Tuttleman Counseling Services and the Employee Assistance Program are also available to support you.
