Hai-Lung Dai was honored at a major symposium at this summer's American Chemical Society national meeting.
Hai-Lung Dai in his past 4 decades of academic career (22 years at the University of Pennsylvania and 18 years at Temple University) has made significant contributions to the development of novel experimental approaches for probing the structure and dynamic/kinetic processes at surfaces and interfaces of crystalline metals and semiconductors in ultrahigh vacuum, particles and micelles in colloids, and liposomes and living biological cells. The symposium honored his contributions at the occasion of his 70th birth year.
Eric Borguet, together with Tim Lian from Emory and Greg Hartland from Notre Dame, were the symposium organizers. Yugang Sun and Kallie Willets were invited speakers.
