Seema Freer is the Director of Research Development at Temple University’s Office of Vice President for Research (OVPR) which supports the university’s scientists, researchers and trainees as they learn, create, discover and innovate. Previously at Temple, Seema served as Associate Professor (Instruction) and Managing Director of the Professional Science Master’s Programs (PSM) in the Department of Biology. The PSM programs create an alternative career path for STEM majors who are seeking opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, and in this capacity Seema oversaw program development of seven new Master’s program and along with several Graduate Certificates. Seema continues as instructor for PSM courses as Adjunct Faculty in Biology, Ethics in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics (BIOL 5505 and 5511) and Professional Development (BIOL 5506). Seema obtained her Ph.D. in Genetics from Thomas Jefferson University, Post-Doctoral training in Fox Chase Cancer Center and Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai University.
