I am a PhD student in the Abdulai-Saiku lab, Department of Biology, College of Science and Technology, Temple University. My research focus on understanding how sex chromosomes influence cognitive aging. The goal of my research is to identify sex chromosome genes that can be targeted to extend the period of cognitive resilience in both males and females. I believe that my research will not only improve our understanding of the different mechanisms that underlie female resilience to cognitive decline, but will also aid in identifying and developing novel therapeutic interventions to improve cognitive resilience in aging for both sexes.
