I am a PhD Student in the Biology Department at Temple University's College of Science and Technology, working in the Sewall Conservation Ecology Lab at the Temple Ambler Field Station. My research is focused on large landscape restoration, specifically around creating habitat for the Eastern Regal Fritillary (Argynnis idalia idalia), a rare subspecies of butterfly found only at Fort Indiantown Gap National Guard Training Center outside of Hershey, PA. I am interested in questions of habitat requirements, rebuilding the right mix of flowers and grasses, with a goal of working towards habitat restoration and reintroduction of this rare species.
