I am a PhD student in the Biology Department advised by Dr. Brent Sewall. I study the Eastern Regal Fritillary (Argynnis idalia idalia), a rare subspecies of butterfly found only at Fort Indiantown Gap National Guard Training Center outside of Hershey, PA. I am interested in questions of butterfly behavior and habitat use with a goal of working towards habitat restoration and reintroduction of this rare species. I have been a Teaching Assistant for Invertebrate Biology and Principles of Ecology as well as a Research Assistant at the Temple Ambler Field Station. I have a passion for mentorship and scientific outreach, and I have prioritized this in my PhD through managing the Field Station social media (@tufieldstation on IG and X) and leading several undergraduate research projects.
