Chris Catone has been a member of Temple's math department since 2025.  Before coming to Temple, he was Associate Professor and Chair of the Math department at Albright College.  He received a bachelor's degree at The College of New Jersey, a Ph.D. in 2006 from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and held a post-doctoral position at the University of Hawaii.  Prof. Catone is a recipient of the Laughlin Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching from Albright College, the Burton W. Jones Teaching Excellence Award from the University of CO, and the George Polya award from the MAA. He is currently writing a college geometry textbook and is active in the local section of the MAA.  Dr. Catone's interests include differential geometry, geometry, mathematical pedagogy, physics, music, biking, hiking, climbing, and skiing.
