CST provides advising to all majors and this advising is especially helpful in the freshman and senior year as students navigate pre-requisite classes as freshmen and graduation requirements at the end of their undergraduate education. Equally important, the biology department has faculty advisors to help students with course selection especially independent study reading and research courses. In addition to academic advising, students interested in professional degrees related to health such as medical and dental school, Temple has a health advising office. Students with professional school goals are encouraged to meet the pre-health advising staff when they enter Temple to being planning their courses and developing their application portfolio early in their undergraduate career.
Students interested in teaching after college should investigate the TU Teach program and general career advising is offered. The career advising sponsors job fairs with employers in the area prepared to hire CST students. Links to both of these opportunities are provided.
