Support for Graduate Student Research and Academic Activities

EES graduate students can request financial support to conduct research or participate in other academic opportunities.

  • Qualifying activities include presentation at professional meetings, participation in workshops and field or remote laboratory research.
  • The requesting student must have a primary role, such as being the presenter of an abstract or active role in a research project.
  • Each student must provide documentation for their proposed activity, the name of their faculty advisor, and a budget.
  • This grant is not intended to be the primary source of project funding. Other sources of funding include funds secured by the faculty advisor or from other organizations (e.g., the American Geophysical Union Student Travel Grant).
