Born with a curiosity for the natural world, Kayla Butts, MS is a graduate student studying cell biology and bioethics. Her previous research has focused queries in chronic disease including solid tumor cancers in young adults who receive germline genetic testing, motor learning and behavior in Parkinson's Disease in transgenic mice, locomotion behavior in C. elegans with Alzheimer's Disease after inducing a TBI, and biochemistry in civil and architectural engineering. Kayla enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, and community service throughout Pennsylvania.
