Connecting students to career opportunities.

College of Science and Technology (CST) students begin preparing for successful careers long before graduation. Student Professional Development staff help students develop the professional skills to become successful in their disciplines. First-year students can schedule an appointment to explore career options. Once a student chooses a direction, we encourage experiential education through internships and undergraduate research.

Professional development events and services for students.

The office helps connect students to internships and full-time employment at fall and spring job fairs. Other events include employer speed networking, employer visits and opportunities to learn from alumni, especially through the Owl to Owl Mentor Program that connects students to CST graduates in their fields.

The office also offers one-on-one coaching, interview practice, group workshops and virtual resume reviews. Through its CST Opportunities email and Canvas website, students can find resources to help building resumes, prepare for interviews and explore careers. CST students can also use the Temple University Career Center’s innovative recruitment and career management platform, Handshake, as a resource for jobs, internships, events and professional development activities.
